The origin of Høvringen Fjellstue is
"Ulsvoldseter" that in the late 1800s began to receive guests during the summer. This evolved further, and eventually
became the main tourist industry both summer and winter. In 1925 the name was
changed from "Ulsvoldseter" to Høvringen Fjellstue. Through the years, the
lodge has been built on several times to appear as it is today.
