What could be better than enjoying a few days in a relaxed atmosphere at Høvringen Fjellstue, with opportunities for both adults and children to experience everything the mountains have to offer? You can choose between staying in a hotel room or in one of our cosy cabins. The hotel has a total of 29 rooms divided into double rooms, single rooms and family rooms.
The cabins are of varying sizes and can accommodate between 4 to 8 people. All of them have a fully-equipped kitchen or kitchen corner and their own private bathroom with shower and toilet. Some of them even have a fireplace in the livingroom or a private veranda to enjoy the surroundings.
All our guests can make use of the hotel’s facilities free of charge (in season). We have a large and cozy lounge in traditional Norwegian style with a fireplace. Here are many chairs and sofas and large windows so you can sit and enjoy the views, maybe drinking a hot cocoa in winter time or enjoy a cold beer on the veranda in the summer.
Here is also sauna, car parking and free wifi. Seize the opportunity to take someone you are fond of on a mountain hike in a traditional setting. This is a place for those who wish for a genuine experience and traditional Norwegian mountain lodge life. Enjoy tasty, homemade food along with a wonderful view of the mighty mountains.
Hotel
Our hotel rooms are located on the ground and first floors, close to cosy lounges and the dining room.
Coffee and tea are available at all times in the reception area and are free of charge. At 16:30 we serve afternoon cake for all our guests.
We have a playroom downstairs with big chess and ping pong and you may borrow many different types of board games, suitable for both adults and children.
Information such as the weather forecast and ski trail reports during the winter season is provided every day in the reception. Here you can also ask for tips aboiut your walks and suggestions what to do for the day.
Our rooms
All our rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toilet, there is also a hairdryer.
All roms have their own seating area.
The rooms face different directions, but all of them have good views. A bit of the charm with Fjellstua is that all rooms are different, some are small and some are big. Many of our regular guests have their favourite rooms.

Cabins
Do you prefer making your own meals or do you just want some more space? We have five different cabins around the lodge that you can rent on a self-catering basis. No meals, bedlinen or cleaning are included. But all this can be added at an additional cost. In season it is also possible to add both breakfast buffet and 3-course dinner inside the hotel.
Prices 2025:
Bedlinen + towels: 200NOK/set
Final cleaning: 900 - 2’000NOK, depending on size of the cabin, how many guests you are and for how long you are staying.
Tormodbu
Tormodbu is a large and very nice, high standard cabin located just behind the hotel. It can accomodate up to 8 persons, with three bedrooms and a sleeping sofa in the livingroom.
In the cabin you have a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and separate shower and toilet.
In the livingroom you’ll find a large fireplace, and the old wooden walls creates a relaxing atmosphere. here is also TV and free WiFi.
Week nights

Weekend
NOK 3’900 per night.
Maritstugu
Maritstugu is laying just in front of the hotel. It is a large and light cabin with high standard suited for bigger families or friends. The cabin can accomodate up to 8 guests and have 3 bedrooms and a sleeping sofa in the living room.
In the cabin you have a fully equipped kitchen with a little breakfast island and also a long dining table where the whole big family can sit and eat together.
Two toilets and one shower.
There is a large livingroom with a fireplace and large windows so you really can enjoy the breathtaking views against Jotunheimen. You also have your own veranda, tv and free wifi.
Week nights

Weekend

Kvila
In this cabin you have three bedrooms and a total of 5 beds. There is a cozy livingroom with a kitchen corner that contains all you need to prepare your own meals. There is also a dining table and sofas.
There is separate toilet and shower. You also have your own veranda on the back, which gives you peace an lovely views.

Søre Stugu
Søre Stugu is a small and cozy cabin. Here are two bedrooms with a total of 5 beds.
There is separate toilet and shower. You have your own veranda and a bench on the sunny side. Free wifi.
The cozy living room have original lumber walls and a kitchen corner with everything you need to cook your own meals. There is also a dining table and sofas.
Week nights

Weekend
NOK 2’200 per night.
Cancellation policy:
You can cancel your reservation 14 days before arrival without any costs. Later cancellation will be charged 50 % of the full price for the entire stay. If you cancel closer than seven days to arrival day, if you don’t show up or if you terminate your stay, you will be charged 100 % of the full price for the entire stay. All cancellations and changes must be done in writing.
